Mackintosh Larkspur Ceramic Coaster

A beautifull glazed ceramic tile featuring the Larkspur watercolour by Charles Rennie Mackintosh. Most often used as a drinks coaster, but also a beautiful display object for a mantelpiece or shelf.

Made in the North East of England by a small tile specialist.

In the months Mackintosh spent at Walberswick, between 1914 and 1915, he produced over 40 flower drawings for publication or exhibition on the continent; plans curtailed by the outbreak of war Larkspur is a commonly cultivated hardy annual. It grows wild in the Mediterranean region and can reach a height of over 3 feet (1 metre).
