Charles Rennie Mackintosh - The Architectural Papers

**Last few copies remaining**

Edited by Pamela Robertson, curator of the Mackintosh collection at The Hunterian.

This significant book is the first publication of Mackintosh's only known architectural writings, revealing the sources of his inspiration.
It includes 6 lecture scripts and diary extracts from 1891 to 1902. Enlivened by erratic spelling, irreverent humour and a frequently passionate idealism, these papers give a rare sense of the young architect's voice.

Introductory essays by leading scholars illuminate the context in which Mackintosh wrote and the relationship between his thinking and his designs. The illustrations include much valuable comparative material and previously unpublished or inaccessible Mackintosh drawings.

Includes essays by Pamela Robertson, Frank Arneil Walker, James Macaulay, David Walker and Robert Macleod.
